Methodology & Sources

How Harmattan researches, verifies, and publishes African capital markets intelligence.

Editorial Independence

Harmattan is an independently owned and operated publication. We have no affiliation with any exchange, brokerage, government, or financial institution. We do not accept payment for coverage. We do not hold positions in securities we discuss. Our only obligation is to our readers.

Research Process

Every Harmattan publication is produced through a combination of primary source research, cross-verification across multiple outlets, and original analysis. We do not republish press releases without independent verification. We do not report figures we cannot trace to a primary source. When data conflicts across sources we note the discrepancy rather than choosing the more convenient number.
